Jain Temples, Ranakpur The Ranakpur Jain Temple were built during the reign of Rana Kumbha in the 15th century, the Hindu ruler of Mewar, and is with a 4,500 square yards basement the largest Jain temple in India. An enormous basement covers 40,000 sq. feet area. The temple has four artistic entrances. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty four pillared halls and eligibly domes supported by over four hundred columns.The main temple is dedicated to the first tirthankara Adinath.
